1st puppy born in the litter about 2 minutes after birth

It's been a long time since I've had the joy of picking up a newborn puppy, but I can still remember their distinctive "garlic breath" and their tiny sealed flaps for ears 
. My little Taco is 13 years old, so she is far past her puppy ways 
. I can't imagine a world without the love of a dog.
What is the breed of your new puppy? Is the puppy a male or female? My Taco is a mix between a Chihuahua and a Pug. Sounds awful, but she's really a very beautiful blond with a Chihuahua head (long nose and stand-up ears) and a chunky body resembling a Pug's with a long tail instead of a curled one. She weighs about 20 lbs. She has a tall set of stairs to get off and on the bed in her "elderly" years, but she can still drag me down the street after a good scent.
Hope all is well with you. I haven't been very active on DA for the last year or so, outside of looking at other people's pictures. Just can't seem to get inspired any more. But I'm happy that summer has finally arrived; it's only been about 3 weeks ago that I finally could put up my snow shovel.
